Early Childhood Development (ECD)

Gibela supports sustainable Early Childhood Development (ECD) initiatives within the Gauteng province, especially in areas around KwaThema, Tsakane, Duduza, Mamelodi, Tembisa, and Soshanguve.

Community development is at the heart of what we do. We are gradually establishing efforts that enable Early Childhood Development centers to become financially viable.

The ECD program offers a focus on quality early learning through the delivery of practitioner training, mentoring, and support visits, as well as recognizing the Early Childhood Development site leaders as entrepreneurs in their communities.

The programs offered are :
• C.A.R.E Skills Programme
• Money Management
• Child Development

These programs aim to change the trajectory for children in low-income areas. This is done by ensuring that site the heads and practitioners of these centers implement basic ECD practices, which ensures qualified and knowledgeable practitioners deliver quality education for children in their care.
